“Isn't Thermomix basically a very expensive blender?”It's a fair question.Especially in the USA, where many people have never seen a Thermomix® before, the TM7 can be difficult to understand from a photo. It has a mixing bowl and blades, so at first glance it can look like another blender or food processor. But blending is only one small part of what I use my Thermomix for.I've cooked with Thermomix for more than 10 years, starting with the TM5, then the TM6 and now the TM7. Here are five questions and misconceptions I hear from people who are trying to decide whether a Thermomix would actually make a difference in their kitchen.

Myth 1: Thermomix® Is Just a Blender
A frequent misconception is that Thermomix® is merely an overpriced blender. While it does have powerful blending capabilities, Thermomix® is much more than that. It is a multifunctional kitchen tool that can mix, chop, knead, steam, cook, and even weigh ingredients. This appliance is designed to simplify cooking by combining the functions of several kitchen devices into one. Whether you're making soup, dough, or a full meal, Thermomix® can handle it all with ease.
Myth 2: Only Professional Chefs Use Thermomix®
Another myth is that Thermomix® is only suitable for professional chefs or serious home cooks. In reality, Thermomix® is designed for everyone, from beginners to experts. Its user-friendly interface and guided recipes make it easy for anyone to create delicious dishes at home.

The appliance can inspire creativity in the kitchen and encourage experimenting with new recipes and techniques.
3. Is Thermomix only for people who cook complicated meals?
Definitely not in my kitchen. Some of the things I make most often are incredibly ordinary: soup, dough, sauces, dips, rice, steamed vegetables, dressings, smoothies and components for other meals. The question I would ask isn't: “Can Thermomix make impressive food?” It can.The more useful question is:“Could Thermomix make the food I already want to eat easier to prepare?”That is what matters in everyday life.

4. Does Thermomix replace every appliance in the kitchen?
No, and I don't think it is helpful to pretend that it does.Thermomix combines many functions that would otherwise require separate appliances or cookware, but that doesn't mean you'll throw away everything else in your kitchen. I still use other kitchen equipment when it makes sense. (And I love the combination of AirFryer and Thermomix). The value for me is having one device that can take over many repetitive cooking tasks and often combine several steps of a recipe in the same bowl. That can mean fewer things to pull out, fewer things to wash and less time standing over the stove.
5. Is a Thermomix TM7 worth $1,699?
I prefer to think of a Thermomix as an investment in how you want to cook, eat, feel and live in the years ahead. If you use it regularly, making more food from scratch can also change where your food budget goes. Things you might otherwise buy prepared, order as takeout, or purchase ready-made can often be made at home instead. How much that saves depends entirely on what you cook and how often you use your Thermomix. For me, though, the value goes beyond money. It is also about making it easier to cook the kind of food I want to eat, having more control over the ingredients I use, trying foods I might not otherwise make, and reducing some of the hands-on work involved in cooking. That's why I don't think the question is simply:“Is a Thermomix worth $1,699?”A better question is: “Would I use it enough for it to become an investment in the way I want to cook, eat, feel and live?” That's also why I prefer showing people Thermomix rather than simply telling them what it does.

The easiest way to decide: cook with one
If you're looking at a Thermomix TM7 and still thinking, “I don't really understand why I would need this,” don't buy one based on a list of features.See it cook. During a Thermomix Cooking Experience, we can look at how you actually eat, what you currently cook and what makes cooking difficult or time-consuming for you. Then we can see whether Thermomix solves something that actually matters in the way you cook and live. Is Thermomix® Just an Expensive Blender? 5 Common TM7 Questions Answered

If you've discovered Thermomix® while traveling, through family or friends overseas, or online, you may have found yourself asking a surprisingly simple question:
Where can I actually buy a Thermomix® TM7 in the United States?
And perhaps: Is there a Thermomix store near me?The good news is that you don't need to live near a Thermomix store to experience or buy a TM7 in the USA.
Where are Thermomix stores in the USA?
Thermomix USA currently has three physical locations:Montclair, New Jersey Doral, Florida Dallas, Texas For most Americans, that means there isn't a Thermomix store around the corner.

But Thermomix has traditionally worked differently from a typical kitchen-appliance brand. Rather than relying primarily on retail stores, Thermomix works with Independent Consultants who can show you the TM7, help you understand how it fits the way you cook, and support you after your purchase.

Can I buy a Thermomix TM7 if there isn't a store near me?
Yes. Thermomix orders can currently be shipped throughout the 48 continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii. You don't need a Thermomix store in your city, and you don't need to live near your Consultant either.I'm an Independent Thermomix® Consultant based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and I work with customers locally as well as throughout the USA.If you're somewhere else in the country, we can meet online for a Cooking Experience, or you can simply use my consultant link when you're ready to purchase.

Where can I see a Thermomix TM7 before I buy one?
This is actually my favorite option.A Thermomix is difficult to understand from a list of specifications.Seeing “20+ functions” on a website is one thing. Where Can I Buy a Thermomix TM7 in the USA?

You want to eat healthier. Maybe you even love good food. But at the end of a long day, deciding what to make, chopping vegetables, standing over the stove and cleaning several pans may be about the last thing you feel like doing. So you order something. Heat up what's easiest. Make the same quick meal again. Or cook anyway and wonder why eating well seems to require so much time and energy. If that sounds familiar, I don't think the first question is:“What should I cook?”There are already thousands of quick and healthy recipes available. A more useful question may be: What part of cooking is making healthy eating difficult for me? Because once you know that, you can start solving the right problem.
First, figure out what is actually making cooking hard
Think about a normal weekday evening. What happens between thinking “I need something to eat” and actually sitting down with a meal? Maybe the problem is time. Or you don't mind cooking, but you don't want to spend 45 minutes doing it after work. For some it's the mental load. You have ingredients in the refrigerator, but figuring out what to make with them feels like one more decision you don't want to make. For someone else it's prep. Washing, peeling, chopping, measuring and getting everything ready takes more energy than the actual cooking. Maybe it's monitoring. You don't want to stand at the stove stirring something while simultaneously watching another pot. Maybe it's cleanup. (for me it is).Or maybe you simply don't want to cook every day. Those are different problems, and they don't necessarily need the same solution.

What are you doing now?
Before buying another kitchen appliance or downloading another meal plan, look at what you're already using to make life easier.Do you:

order takeout when you're tired?

meal prep on weekends?

use frozen or pre-cut vegetables?

rely on an air fryer or slow cooker?

buy meal kits or prepared foods?

batch cook and freeze portions?

have a collection of 15-minute recipes?

cook from scratch anyway, even when you don't really have the energy?

Now ask a more important question:How well is that actually working for you?If you've found a system that gets food you enjoy onto the table without taking more time or energy than you want to give it, that's a good system. You don't need to change it because somebody on the internet says you should. But if you regularly find yourself thinking: "I want to eat better, but I can't face cooking tonight", or "I wish we ate more homemade food, but I don't have time for all that prep." Then it may be worth looking beyond another collection of quick recipes.

What would change if cooking required less of you?
This is the question I find much more interesting. Imagine that making dinner still took 30 minutes from beginning to end, but you only had to actively work for 10 of those minutes. How would that feel different? What if something else could chop the onions, weigh the ingredients, control the temperature and stir the sauce while you changed clothes, helped your kids, answered an email or simply sat down for a few minutes? Would you cook from scratch more often? Would eating more vegetables, beans, lentils or whole foods become easier? Would you order takeout less frequently? Would you try more new foods? Would cooking perhaps become more enjoyable if you could choose which parts of it you actually wanted to do? This is an important distinction:Cooking time and your time are not necessarily the same thing.A meal may take 40 minutes to cook without requiring 40 minutes of your attention. And for a busy person, reducing hands-on time can sometimes matter more than shaving another five minutes off the total recipe.
You don't have to make everything from scratch
I love cooking from scratch. I like knowing what's in my food, adjusting it to the way I eat and discovering that things I once automatically bought can be surprisingly simple to make myself. But I don't believe healthy eating requires making absolutely everything yourself. There is no prize for making your own mustard on a Tuesday night when buying a jar of mustard makes your life easier. Frozen vegetables can be brilliant. Canned beans are incredibly useful. Pre-washed greens can make the difference between eating a salad and watching the lettuce you meant to wash slowly die in the refrigerator. Prepared foods, meal kits and takeout can all have a place in a healthy life. The goal isn't to prove how much you can do yourself. The goal is to create a way of eating that you can actually live with and enjoy.

Meal prep can help, but it isn't the only answer
One common solution to being too busy to cook is meal prep. For some people, spending a few hours on Sunday preparing meals for the week works beautifully. For others, giving up half of Sunday so they can avoid cooking Tuesday doesn't feel like much of a solution. There are alternatives. You can prepare components instead of complete meals. Cook a grain, make a sauce, wash vegetables or prepare a protein that can become several different meals. You can intentionally cook enough for leftovers. You can keep a freezer stocked with ingredients that don't require much preparation. And you can use kitchen tools that reduce the amount of active work required while food is cooking.
Which kitchen tools actually reduce the work?
Different appliances solve different problems. An air fryer can make roasting and crisping foods fast and relatively hands-off. A slow cooker can be wonderful when you want to put ingredients together earlier in the day and come back to a cooked meal. A pressure cooker can dramatically reduce the cooking time of foods that normally take much longer.A good blender or food processor can eliminate a lot of manual chopping, blending and puréeing. None of those is universally “best.” The useful question might be:Which part of cooking do you most want help with? And there is another category worth considering: an all-in-one cooking device.

What does an all-in-one cooking device change?
Instead of having one appliance that chops and another that cooks, an all-in-one cooking device combines multiple cooking tasks. This is where a Thermomix® TM7 fits. I'm Rebecca McCaigue, an Independent Thermomix® Consultant based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I've used Thermomix for more than 10 years, starting with my TM5 in 2014, then the TM6 and now the TM7.What continues to matter most to me isn't simply the number of functions it has. It's the number of little cooking jobs I can hand over to it.What continues to matter most to me isn't simply the number of functions it has. It's the number of little cooking jobs I can hand over to it. (And my favorite is pre-clean). It can weigh ingredients directly into the mixing bowl, chop, blend, grind, knead, mix, heat, cook, stir and steam. Cookidoo® adds Guided Cooking for those days when deciding what to make or remembering the next step is part of the problem. That doesn't mean you stop cooking. You still buy ingredients. You still put them into the bowl. Some recipes require steps along the way. You still have cleanup - but less. And if you love standing at the stove and doing every part of the cooking process yourself, you may not need another device to do those things for you. But if the parts you dislike are chopping, measuring, stirring, monitoring temperatures, coordinating several cooking processes or deciding what to make, an all-in-one device can change how much attention a meal requires from you.

Thermomix isn't the answer if it sits in your closet
This matters enough to say plainly: A Thermomix sitting in your closet saves you exactly $0 and exactly zero minutes. Buying another kitchen device doesn't automatically change the way you eat. The value comes from using it for the things that actually create friction in your life. For one person, that may be making dinner. For another, it's soup, bread dough, sauces or breakfast. For someone eating plant-based, it might be hummus, lentil dishes, plant milks, nut and seed butters, wraps, curries or preparing beans, grains and vegetables. And for someone who already loves cooking, the value may simply be handing over repetitive jobs while they concentrate on the parts they enjoy. For the busy mom with younger children it would be the time she saves as well as sneaking in nutritious whole foods into the mac'n'cheese. For the athlete it might be meeting your macros more easily. For the unorganized person it might be finding recipes for the food that happen to be in the fridge. That's also why I don't think the question is simply:“Is Thermomix worth it?”A more helpful question is:“Would I use it enough, for the way I actually eat, to make a meaningful difference in my kitchen?”I explored that question in more detail in my article: Is the Thermomix® TM7 Worth It?
What happens if nothing changes?
Maybe nothing dramatic. You continue using the system you have now.But if that system repeatedly leaves you too tired to cook, spending more than you'd like on convenience, throwing away ingredients you intended to use, or eating differently from how you actually want to eat, it may be worth asking whether the solution is really another recipe.Perhaps what needs to change is how much of the process requires you.And that's something you can test.
Don't take my word for it. Cook with one.
I'm not only a Thermomix® user who loves the product because it changed how I cook, eat and feel. How to Eat Healthier When You Don't Have Time to Cook

If you're considering a Thermomix® TM7, you're probably imagining more than another appliance on your counter.Perhaps you want to make fresh meals more easily, feel more confident about what goes into your food, spend less on takeout, or actually enjoy cooking. For me, that's where the question “Is it worth it?” begins.
What could investing in your everyday cooking make possible - for your health, your budget, and the way you want to live?
I have cooked with Thermomix for more than 10 years. I bought my TM5 in 2014, later moved to the TM6, and now cook with the TM7.I'm also an Independent Thermomix® Consultant in the USA. My perspective comes from years of cooking with Thermomix through three generations and helping others discover how it might fit their lives.”It won't be the right investment for everyone. But its value becomes much clearer when you look at what you would actually do with it.For me, the better question is: What would it change in your kitchen?
The short answer: Is the Thermomix TM7 worth it?
The Thermomix TM7 is most likely worth considering if you cook regularly, want to make more food from scratch, value Guided Cooking, want to simplify meal preparation, or would benefit from having many preparation and cooking functions combined into one workflow. It may offer less value if you rarely cook, primarily want one specific function, regularly cook quantities larger than its capacity, or already have a kitchen system you love and don't want to change. Here are the questions I would consider before buying one.

1. Do you want to cook more from scratch?
This is probably the biggest reason Thermomix became so valuable to me.I can make bread and pizza dough, soups, sauces, dips, dressings, plant-based milks, desserts, full meals and so much more from basic ingredients. And because chopping, weighing, mixing, heating, blending and cooking can happen in the same bowl, cooking from scratch doesn't necessarily mean creating a kitchen full of dirty dishes.I'm personally plant-based and increasingly interested in high-protein and high-fiber cooking, so I also use my Thermomix to experiment and develop recipes around the way I want to eat.If you'd like to cook more real food from scratch but the amount of work involved keeps getting in the way, this is where I think Thermomix becomes particularly interesting.
2. Can Thermomix help you save money on everyday food?
The financial value of Thermomix becomes easier to understand when you look at what you already spend on food.Takeout on a busy evening. Store-bought dips and dressings. Food you bought with good intentions but never got around to using.Making more of those things at home creates opportunities to save.Think about simple lentil wraps that you can fill in different ways, homemade hummus, bread, or a soup that helps you use vegetables already in the fridge. These are everyday foods you can build into your routine. Here is one way to look at it: if your household replaces two $50 takeout orders each month with homemade meals costing $15 each, that leaves $70 in your food budget.Your numbers may be different. The useful comparison is what you would normally spend minus the ingredients for the meal you make instead. You might make a similar comparison with a restaurant visit for two. I still enjoy eating out, but I like having it be a choice rather than the solution every time I don't feel like cooking.Thermomix doesn't automatically create those savings. Using it to replace some of your existing food spending is what makes the difference. For me, the bigger value is building a routine where fresh, nourishing food becomes easier to make—and where the money I spend supports the way I want to eat and live.
3. Is deciding what to cook part of the problem?
Sometimes the difficult part isn't cooking. It's figuring out what to make.Cookidoo® gives you access to a large library of Guided Cooking recipes directly through the TM7.You choose a recipe and the Thermomix guides you through it step by step, including weighing ingredients and setting the appropriate time, temperature and speed during the process. For someone who doesn't feel confident cooking, that can make trying a new recipe much more approachable. But I also think this is useful for experienced cooks.Sometimes I want to create something myself. Other times I don't want to think about dinner. I want to choose something, follow the steps and eat.I use Thermomix both ways.
4. Do you already own a lot of kitchen appliances?
You might be thinking:I already have a blender, food processor, scale, stand mixer, steamer and rice cooker. Why would I need this? That's a fair question. The value for me isn't simply that Thermomix can perform many of those individual functions. It's that the functions work together.I can weigh an onion into the bowl, chop it, sauté it, add the remaining ingredients, cook them and blend the finished sauce without transferring everything from one appliance to another.I can also cook on multiple levels, for example with rice cooking in the simmering basket while vegetables and another part of the meal steam above in the Varoma.I've written a separate guide showing which appliances the TM7 may replace and which ones you may still want to keep.Read: What Appliances Does a Thermomix® TM7 Replace?

5. Are you someone who doesn't really enjoy cooking?
This is an interesting one because I don't think you have to love cooking to benefit from Thermomix. If anything, Guided Cooking may be particularly useful if cooking currently feels overwhelming or you don't feel confident improvising in the kitchen. The TM7 can guide you through recipes step by step rather than expecting you to know when something is sufficiently chopped, how long it needs to cook, or which temperature and speed to choose. You still participate in making your food. But you don't have to hold every part of the process in your head. For me, it did the opposite: I fell in love with cooking after avoiding it for years!
6. What if you already know how to cook?
Then you may appreciate Thermomix for entirely different reasons: precision, versatility, and an extra pair of hands in the kitchen.Thermomix has a history in professional kitchens. Heston Blumenthal has named it among his kitchen essentials, while Sat Bains has praised its blending and cooking capabilities. These examples predate the TM7, showing how established Thermomix is as a cooking tool. Read the chef accounts. One example I particularly love is plant-based chef Ricky Saward. In an interview with Vorwerk, he described using multiple Thermomixes at home and in his restaurant to prepare doughs, oils and ice cream, and to turn ingredients such as vegetable peels into powders. That creativity connects closely with the way I like to cook. Read Ricky’s interview. What makes it useful for an experienced cook?

Control over time, temperature and speed: helpful when repeating recipes and working toward consistent results.

Heating and stirring together: useful for sauces, custards and pastry creams that would otherwise need frequent attention.

Blending and emulsifying: for smooth purées, dressings, mayonnaise and sauces.

Help with preparation: weighing, chopping and mixing while you work on other parts of the meal.

I know how to cook now, and I use my two Thermomixes constantly. For me, they can feel like an extra pair of hands—and sometimes my own personal chef.I can use Guided Cooking when that's convenient, but I can also cook manually, adapt recipes, and create my own. I even have my dad's sourdough recipe saved, preserving a family tradition with the help of today's technology. That's one of my favorite things about it: having the freedom to explore something new while keeping the recipes that mean something to me.Knowing how to cook doesn't make Thermomix unnecessary. It gives you another way to put those skills and ideas to work.

7. Do you want fewer things to clean?
This deserves its own section because it affects how something feels to use every day. Many recipes allow me to weigh, chop, mix, blend, and cook in the same bowl. And the TM7 has a Pre-Clean function. One of my favorite examples is dough. After making bread or pizza dough, I don't particularly want to scrub sticky dough from another mixing bowl and dough hook. I can add water and a little dish soap and let the Thermomix run its cleaning program. You also don't have extra measuring cups to clean as the scale is integrated into the device. For many of the doughs I make, afterward I simply rinse the bowl.A feature like that doesn't sound nearly as exciting on a specification sheet as it feels on a Tuesday evening.

8. When might a Thermomix TM7 NOT be worth it?
I think this question deserves a real answer, too.If you rarely cook and have no interest in changing that, owning a Thermomix isn't automatically going to change your habits. If what you really want is an air fryer, buy an air fryer. The TM7 isn't one.If you regularly cook very large quantities, its 2.1-liter mixing bowl may not suit everything you make. However, it can save you time by making the side, soup, salad, sauce or dessert while other things are cooking and it will cut down prep work significantly. Like chopping garlic and onions for a larger amount is done in seconds. And if you only want one particular function, such as blending smoothies, you probably don't need an all-in-one cooking device to accomplish that. The TM7 makes the most sense when you see value in the combination of what it does.
9. How much does the Thermomix TM7 cost in the USA?
The Thermomix TM7 currently retails for $1,699 +taxes in the USA.Offers, bundles, financing options and promotions can change, so rather than putting temporary offers into an article designed to remain useful, I keep the current information updated separately.See Current Thermomix® USA Offers & Promotions

10. Is the Thermomix® TM7 Worth It? Who It Makes Sense For

One of the first questions people ask me when they see a Thermomix® is:
What does it actually replace in my kitchen?
Thermomix USA describes the TM7 as combining the functions of more than 20 different appliances. But after cooking with Thermomix for more than 10 years, I think there is a more useful answer:It depends on how you cook. You probably won't throw 20 appliances out of your kitchen the day your TM7 arrives. But you may find yourself reaching for quite a few of them much less often. The culinary world is evolving, and with it, the tools and techniques we use in the kitchen. Among the most revolutionary advancements is the rise of the Thermomix, a multifunctional kitchen appliance that promises to streamline cooking processes. However, traditional cooking methods still hold a cherished place in many kitchens. This blog post will explore the differences, advantages, and potential drawbacks of each approach.

Functionality and Versatility
You probably won't throw 20 appliances out of your kitchen the day your TM7 arrives. But you may find yourself reaching for quite a few of them much less often.1. Food processor This is probably the easiest replacement to understand. The TM7 can chop, mince, mix, purée and process ingredients using its stainless-steel blade.I use it for everything from chopping onions and vegetables to making dips, spreads, nut mixtures and ingredients for recipes. The difference for me is that I don't have to move the food from a food processor into another pot to continue cooking. I can often do the next step in the same bowl.2. Blender Smoothies, soups, sauces, dressings, and purées can all be blended directly in the TM7.This is particularly useful with soup because I can cook and blend in the same bowl rather than transferring hot soup into a separate blender.3. Kitchen scale The scale is built into the Thermomix. That means I can put the mixing bowl on the TM7 and weigh ingredients directly into it as I cook rather than measuring everything separately. Thermomix USA includes weighing among the TM7's core functions. No more extra measuring cups, no more guesswork, and the best: Less dishes! For someone who grew up cooking in grams, this is one of those little things I appreciate every day. And it automatically converts from the metric system in grams to the imperial system in ounces.

Efficiency and Time Management
4. Steamer The Varoma is the Thermomix steaming system. You can steam ingredients above the mixing bowl while something else cooks underneath. Thermomix USA also notes that the TM7 Varoma is larger than the previous version. This is where Thermomix becomes more interesting than simply having a collection of individual appliances: you can use different levels of the device together.5. Stand mixer for many doughsThe TM7 can mix and knead dough using its blade and dedicated Dough Mode.I use my Thermomix for bread, cookies, pizza dough, and other doughs regularly. Would I tell a serious baker that a Thermomix makes every stand mixer unnecessary? No.If you regularly make very large batches or need specialized stand-mixer attachments, you may still want one. But for the way many households bake, the Thermomix can take over a lot of that work. And one of my favorite parts comes afterward: the Pre-Clean function.Think about making sticky bread or pizza dough without extra measuring cups, a stand-mixer bowl,l and a dough hook waiting in the sink afterward. Once I remove my dough, I add water and a little dish soap and let the TM7 run its Pre-Clean program. With most of the doughs I make, afterward I simply rinse the bowl, and I'm done.It sounds like a small feature until you've made a sticky dough and realize you don't have to scrub the bowl yourself.6. Rice cooker + multi-level cookingThe TM7 can cook rice and grains, so depending on how you use yours, you may no longer need a separate rice cooker. But this is also where simply making a list of “appliances it replaces” misses one of my favorite things about Thermomix:It can cook several parts of your meal at the same time. For example, I can have liquid or a sauce cooking in the mixing bowl, rice cooking in the simmering basket, salmon steaming in the Varoma dish, and vegetables steaming on the Varoma tray above it.One cooking process. Multiple levels. A complete meal. The redesigned TM7 Varoma has even more steaming capacity than the previous generation, with Thermomix reporting up to 45% more capacity depending on how it is configured. ThermomixThis is what I mean when I say Thermomix isn't simply several appliances placed into one device. The functions can work together.

Culinary Creativity and Control
7. Stove for many everyday cooking jobs The TM7 doesn't replace your entire stove, but there are plenty of meals where I barely use mine. The mixing bowl can heat while stirring, sauté ingredients, simmer sauces and soups, boil water,r and cook complete dishes. The TM7 also introduced Open Cooking and Browning as TM7-specific capabilities. CookidooThat means I can weigh an onion into the bowl, chop it, sauté it, add the remaining ingredients, and continue cooking without moving from cutting board to pan to pot. No more immersion blender for soups, not transferring from pot to food processor to pot — it's all in one bowl. For me, this is one of the biggest everyday differences: fewer separate cooking steps and fewer things to clean afterward.8. Recipe books or "saved for later recipe links you never cook" This one isn't technically an appliance, but it deserves a place on the list because it changed the way I cook.Cookidoo® is the Thermomix recipe platform, with more than 100,000 Guided Cooking recipes. The recipes appear directly on the TM7 screen and guide you step by step, including the time, temperature, and speed for each stage. Thermomix USA. You can search for inspiration, plan meals and create shopping lists. You can also create, modify and import your own recipes. Thermomix USASo instead of buying another cookbook and hoping I'll actually use enough recipes from it, I can search for what I want to cook right now.And I still create and adapt my own recipes. For me, that's the best combination: Guided Cooking when I want it and the freedom to experiment when I don't. There are also independent apps that use any recipe link and put it onto your device with the steps already built in. So no recipe links that will never be cooked, but suddenly your dishes are made, and you get endless inspiration. What's for dinner might become your favorite question.Your Thermomix comes with 3 months free trial, and you can choose to continue for 65$ a year and add up to 4 devices to it. Without the subscription, you have 200 built-in recipes and the ones you used last, and you can use the entire device and the functions manually.9. Sous-vide cooker This is one thing people often don't realize is already built into the Thermomix cooking system. The TM7 has Sous-Vide Mode for cooking vacuum-sealed food in a precisely controlled water bath. Thermomix describes it for foods including fish, meat, vegetables and fruit. With the Blade Cover & Peeler, the food or sous-vide bag is protected from contact with the moving blade. The same accessory can also be used for slow cooking and peeling or scrubbing vegetables. Thermomix USASo if sous vide is something you occasionally want to do rather than something you want another dedicated appliance for, you already have that capability in your Thermomix. And if you never heard of it and would love to expand your culinary journey, Thermomix will make that very easy,
What doesn't a Thermomix replace?
This is just as important.I would not buy a Thermomix expecting it to replace every appliance in your kitchen. It isn't your oven.It isn't an air fryer. And Thermomix USA explicitly says the TM7 is not designed for deep frying. You may also decide to keep appliances that are particularly good at something you do frequently. The question isn't really: “Can I get rid of everything else?”For me, the better question is: “How many separate cooking steps and appliances can I stop juggling?”That's where Thermomix became valuable in my own kitchen.
So is Thermomix worth it if I already own these appliances?
Possibly, but this is exactly where I think seeing a Thermomix cook is more useful than reading another list of features. If you already own a blender, food processor, mixer, scale, steamer and slow cooker, I wouldn't tell you to buy a TM7 simply because it can perform those functions. What makes it different is how those functions work together. You can weigh an onion directly into the bowl, chop it, sauté it, add the remaining ingredients, cook them, and blend the finished sauce without moving through a row of appliances and pans. You also have your hands free and more time, as you don't have to stand at the stove and stir. And with Guided Cooking, the TM7 can walk you through that process step by step. That workflow is what I would want you to experience before deciding whether it has enough value for your kitchen.

See what it could replace in your kitchen, what less effort would look like, and how it would save you time in your current workflow. What Appliances Does a Thermomix® TM7 Replace?

Football season is back, and for me, game day food should have one important quality: it shouldn’t keep you in the kitchen while everyone else is watching the game.Whether you’re hosting a house full of friends, bringing something to a watch party or having a quieter game day at home, Thermomix® can take a lot of the work out of preparing fresh food from scratch. And living in Milwaukee, football season has a special energy. When the Packers are playing, food is simply part of the experience.
Spend Less Time Preparing and More Time Together

Spend Less Time Preparing and More Time Together

Game day can easily turn into several separate kitchen projects.A dip needs chopping and mixing. Dough needs kneading. A sauce needs attention. Vegetables need prepping. Drinks need blending. Then there is everything that needs to be washed afterward. This is one of the things I appreciate most about cooking with my Thermomix® TM7. Instead of pulling out several appliances and working through every step manually, I can use one device for many different parts of the meal.It can chop, mix, blend, knead, cook, steam and more, depending on what I’m making. That doesn’t mean I want Thermomix to replace the fun of cooking. For me, it takes care of many of the repetitive steps so I can spend my energy on the parts I actually enjoy.
Game Day Food Can Still Be Fresh Food
Football food often makes us think of takeout, packaged snacks and things straight from the freezer. There’s certainly a place for easy food. But easy and homemade don’t have to be opposites. With Thermomix®, you can build your game-day table around fresh ingredients without creating hours of extra work.Think homemade dips and spreads, fresh salsa, doughs, sauces, soups, snacks, drinks and desserts. Cookidoo® also gives you access to more than 100,000 guided recipes, so you can search for ideas that fit your family, dietary preferences and the kind of gathering you’re planning.I personally eat plant-based and pay particular attention to protein and fiber, so I love that I can take the same game-day idea and adapt it to the way I actually want to eat. That might mean beans or legumes in a dip, fresh vegetables alongside it, homemade bread instead of another packaged option, or a meal that happens to be easy enough for game day without feeling like “game-day food.”

Hosting Without Spending the Party in the KitchenThis may be my favorite part.
When people come over, I want to be with them.I don’t want everyone sitting in the living room while I disappear into the kitchen for the next 45 minutes.Thermomix® is especially useful when several parts of a meal need preparation because guided cooking walks you through the recipe step by step. Depending on the recipe, the device can be working on one task while I prepare something else. That can make entertaining feel much more manageable, especially when you want to serve homemade food but don’t want the day to revolve around preparing it.
Not a Football Fan? The Idea Still Works
The same approach works for birthdays, family gatherings, potlucks, holidays or an ordinary Saturday when people suddenly end up at your house. That’s actually how I think about Thermomix in general. It isn’t about cooking something elaborate every day. It’s about making fresh cooking realistic on days when life is already full.I started using Thermomix more than ten years ago, first with my TM5, later the TM6 and now the TM7. What I cook has changed considerably over those years. I learned to cook, explored food from different countries, became plant-based and more recently started focusing more intentionally on protein and fiber. The common thread has stayed the same: I want fresh food from scratch without needing my whole day to revolve around making it.Football season is simply a very good excuse to put that into practice.

Curious What You Could Make for Your Next Game Day?
If you’ve been wondering what Thermomix® actually does, I’d rather show you than give you a long list of features. You can join me for a personalized cooking experience in Milwaukee or by Zoom, and we can make food that fits the way you and your household actually eat.You can also see the current Thermomix® USA offers and promotions here:https://thewowbowl.com/current-thermomix-usa-offers---promotionsOr book a cooking experience with me here:https://appt.link/schedule-a-meeting-with-rebecca-mc-caigue/cooking-experienceIn homemade we trust.Rebecca McCaigue The Wow Bowl Independent Thermomix® Consultant, USA
