If you are considering a Thermomix® TM7, you may be wondering:

Do I actually need a Consultant to buy one?

The short answer is that you can complete a Thermomix® purchase online, including through Guest Checkout, without creating a Thermomix account.

But in the USA, Thermomix® is designed to be sold through a network of Independent Consultants. Thermomix® describes the Consultant as part of the buying and support experience, not simply as the person who sends you a purchase link.

So the more useful question is:

Would having a Consultant make your decision and your first months with the TM7 easier?

For many people, the answer is yes.

Do I have to attend a demonstration before buying?

A Cooking Demo is the usual first step Thermomix® recommends because it lets you see the TM7 in action, ask questions and decide whether it fits the way you cook. Thermomix USA describes the demo as an opportunity to cook alongside a Consultant, explore the functions and experience the appliance before making a decision.

That does not mean you have to be ready to buy before booking one.

A good Cooking Experience is useful when you are:

• curious but still comparing options
• unsure whether you would use the TM7 often enough
  
• trying to understand how it fits into your existing kitchen
  
• cooking for dietary needs or a particular household
  
• more comfortable seeing something in practice than reading a feature list

That is why I prefer calling it a Cooking Experience rather than simply a demo. You should be able to see food being prepared, ask practical questions, and decide whether it would genuinely help you.

What does a Consultant actually do?

A Consultant can help before, during and after the purchase.

Before you order, that may include:

• explaining how the TM7 works in everyday cooking
  
• answering questions about recipes, Cookidoo® and Guided Cooking
  
• helping you compare the purchase paths currently available
  
• arranging an in-person or online Cooking Experience & free  Welcome Service
  
• helping you think through whether the TM7 fits your kitchen and routine

After you purchase, Thermomix USA provides a complimentary Welcome Service with a Consultant. The official Welcome Service includes an introduction to the TM7, a walkthrough of the features, and the opportunity to cook your first meal together.

That first session matters because many people do not need more information. They need a clear starting point.

Plus, you have a real human being who can troubleshoot via text, Zoom, call or email to make your Thermomix experience as smooth as possible.

Is buying through a Consultant more expensive?

The opposite is actually true. You receive a better bundle when using a Consultant link. In fact, you always receive a $50 accessories voucher, and the offer of the month
Thermomix® purchasing goes through the official Thermomix® website, and your Consultant provides the link and support around that purchase. The price itself is not increased simply because you are working with a Consultant.

What if I do not want a lot of contact?

You do not have to choose between “completely on your own” and “constant calls.”

Some people want a hands-on Cooking Experience and regular recipe ideas. Others prefer to ask a question by text or email only when they need help.

I work with both.

As an introvert myself, my first question would be: "Can I pay extra for it to NOT come with a person?" I am as much or as little in contact with you as you like.

If you prefer a quieter, more text-based experience, you can still have a Consultant and use that support in the way that suits you. You do not have to become highly social or attend lots of events to benefit from having a real person available when questions come up.

Can I buy first and find a Consultant later?

You may be able to complete an online purchase without creating an account, but I would not recommend treating Consultant support as an afterthought if you already know you would value it. You will also not be able to receive the promotions that come with ordering through a Consultant link after the purchase. The official US buying process is built around the Consultant relationship, and the Welcome Service is intended to help you start using your TM7 with confidence.

How do I choose the right Thermomix® Consultant?

You do not necessarily need someone local to your home if you are comfortable meeting online. Thermomix USA supports virtual demos, and I work with people across the USA as well as in Milwaukee and Southeastern Wisconsin.

When choosing a Consultant, I would look for someone who:

• explains things clearly
  
• answers your actual questions
  
• is willing to show and share relevant recipes tailored to your needs
  
• respects your preferred communication style
  
• continues to be available after the order

The right Consultant relationship should make the TM7 feel more approachable, not more complicated.
