What Is It Like to Become a Thermomix® Consultant in the USA?

Learn what it’s like to become a Thermomix® Consultant in the USA, including Cooking Experiences, flexibility, training and the current TM7 Earning Program.

If you've been looking at the Thermomix® TM7 and discovered that there is an option to become an Independent Thermomix® Consultant, you may be wondering what that actually means.

Do you need to be a salesperson? Do you have to host parties? How much time does it take? And can you really earn your own Thermomix?

I became a Thermomix® Consultant after already being a Thermomix user for many years. For me, the consultant role is much more about sharing something I genuinely use and helping people discover how it could fit their own way of cooking.

What does a Thermomix Consultant actually do?

One of the main things Consultants do is introduce people to Thermomix through Cooking Experiences.

These can happen in person or online.

Rather than demonstrating every function of the TM7, I prefer to find out how someone actually cooks first.

What do you eat? What takes too much time? What would you love to make from scratch? What keeps you from cooking the way you would like to?

Then I can show the parts of Thermomix that are actually relevant to that person.

Consultants can also help customers get started with their TM7, explore Cookidoo®, find recipes and answer questions after the purchase.

Do I need to be good at sales?

You don't have to become a completely different person to be a Thermomix Consultant.

I'm an introvert myself.

I enjoy cooking with people and answering questions, but I also work with customers entirely through text or email when that suits them better.There are different ways to build your Thermomix business, and you can find an approach that fits your personality.

For me, sharing my real experience with Thermomix feels much more natural than trying to “sell” something.

Can I become a Thermomix Consultant part-time?
Yes. Independent Consultants can build Thermomix around other parts of their lives rather than treating it as a traditional full-time job.

Some people are primarily interested in earning their own Thermomix. Others enjoy doing Cooking Experiences occasionally, while some decide to build a larger Thermomix business.

How much you want to do with it is a personal decision.

Can I earn my Thermomix TM7?

Thermomix USA has an Earning Program that can provide a path toward earning your own TM7 by sharing Thermomix with others.

The specific program, incentives and promotions can change, so I don't want to put temporary details into an article that may still be found a year from now.

What kind of training and support do new Consultants receive?

You don't have to figure everything out by yourself.

New Consultants have access to Thermomix training and resources to help them learn the product, understand the consultant role and begin sharing Thermomix with others.

And you also have a team around you.

I help the Consultants on my team get started, answer questions and work through those first experiences of sharing Thermomix with other people.

You don't need to know everything on your first day.

Do I need to live in Milwaukee to join your team?

No.

I'm based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but I work with people throughout the USA. A lot of what we do can happen online, including communication, training and Cooking Experiences.

So you don't have to live near me to get started.

Is becoming a Thermomix Consultant right for me?
I think the more useful question is what you would like to get out of it. Maybe you already want a TM7 and the Earning Program makes more sense to you than simply purchasing one.

Maybe you love cooking and enjoy introducing people to things you've discovered. Maybe you're looking for something flexible that you can build around your existing work or family life. Or perhaps you're curious but aren't sure yet whether the consultant role fits you.

You don't need to have all of that figured out before you explore it.
